It easy to set up and continues after you log out/logon but that is about all. I’m not really sure what the author means by “opaque” as the dictionary says that “opaque” means "not transparent or translucent; impenetrable to light; not allowing light to pass through. “ I think he really means “translucent”. Whatever he means, its not adjustable so is only slightly translucent. Even with a white background, you cannot see what is behind the countdown. The size of the countdown is not adjustable so several events clutter up the screen and the countdowns are on top of everything unitl they expire then they are in the background. You can move them to the lower left or right of the screen and stack them. Events that have expired are behind the other windows on the screen and you literally have to close all you apps or move to a desktop with no appl running! Anyway you look at it, the more countdowns you have running, the less work you can do because it hogged the screen. It does not seem to recognize a 24 hr clock. My MacBooks are set on 24 hr time, but this application only allows a 12 hr clock. It is a real nuisance trying to calculate time around the world when you have to fiddle with 12 hour clocks. And worst of all, they are on EVERY DESKTOP so every desktop is cluttered by the clocks! Since it is in the menu instead of the dock you cannot confine the clocks to a single desktop and not clutter up all of your other desktops. I really don’t want to look at events that are a month away on every desktop! For the app to me useful to me I would want: 1 - the size of the individual windows to be adjustable so I can get “many” on a screen. 2 - all the windows confined to a single desktop. 3 - the translucency to be adjustable. 4 - a 24 hr clock But most of all, I do not want the app’s clocks hiding my day to day app’s like Safari, Mail, Apple Store, etc. I would really like to get some real work done between now and next St. Swithun’s day.

It’s simple and on your face. You can customize backgrounds to any color or a single color if you use one color background. The developer is very responsive and the app never crashed.

This little app does one thing—put countdowns on your desktop—and it does it very well. There are enough preferences for each countdown so that you can have it the way you want it. There was a glitch when I updated to Yosemite; I wrote to the feedback link and received very quick and helpful answers. So, app works, support is good. What else can one ask?

This app works exactly as it says it does. There were a number of countdown programs I’ve tried that will work once but then never work again. This one opens every time. The best part though is the support. I use the feedback function in the app and I ALWAYS have an email response that day!

I BOUGHT THIS TO REMEIND ME OFF ALL MY AUCTIONS I HAVE GOING ON. I DOWNLOADED THE PROGRAM (PAID VERSION) AND IT WILL NOT EVEN OPEN.

So far so good! I like the options available. The only thing it seems to be missing is the ability to display in weeks. If there were an option to see WEEKS, not just days, then I would rate this app 5 stars.

The app is simple, does what it says and what you would expect without making it complicated. Update: My one quibble with this app was that it showed the number of days to an event as one to few. The new version fixes that so events that are tomorrow show as one day away instead of zero. +1

How do I get a refund? This wont open.

Simple and easy to use and has just enough customization. Fit the os x theme pretty well too!

At first the app had trouble counting down properly, but the last update has fixed any probs and the app now does exactly what I want. Highly recommended.

Simple and easy to use; it’s nice that it lets you customize the colors and size of the widget. I had a slight confusion about the app so I emailed the owner, and got a prompt and helpful responses in less than 24 hours. Overall, well worth it!

It needs the capability to adjust the size of text, font, and size of the reminder window. Please add these features. Other than these issues, the app works perfectly.
