Big Day Countdown - Counting Down To The Special Day App Reviews

I love that you can name each countdown and have multiple runnning simultaneously. It gives you options to change the color, make the countdown a floating window (shows over other open applications) or not (can be covered by other open applications), transparent, and countdown to exact minute. You can also set the countdown to notify you about the event. Looks very nice on my screen and cost me very little money. It would be even better if it counted down to the exact second, but this is an outstanding app because I NEVER leave reviews!

Nice, clean functionality. Does exactly what it says and is just customizable enough to make it look good. Bravo!!

I just purchased this app and found it to be very good. I’m counting down to a big day in my life and it’s just what I want. I had an installation glitch and it was handled absolutely immediately by email. All is well, and I’m very happy.

I don’t really have much to say about this app but that it’s just what I was looking for - a good looking, simple countdown clock. It has the ability to stay open without interrupting your work, can be launched when you login, and can have multiple timers. I’ve had this app for a while and only now getting around to reviewing it. No complaints at all

After buying this app for my Mac I discovered that it wouldn’t launch no matter what I did. I emailed the developer and he responded in less than an hour, then engaged in a back-and-forth email exchange with me until I managed to get the app to work. So while I was frustrated with the app initially, I’m now quite pleased with it and with the help I received when I had problems.

I like the design of the countdowns, it’s decent but still kind of alarming. Hopefully seeing the countdown will help me prepare for certain events more timely than before haha Thumbs up for this app!

Been looking for an app like this one for a while. I love the bright colours and big letters. I love that I can see different countdowns directly on my desktop ! Your app is just perfect. I recommend! Thanks

Not really worth 2 bucks. Missing a popup calender functionfor selecting the date, also it lacks the ability to customize the widget size, which currently is quite large in size. Too big.

I downloaded this app nearly a year ago and it worked the way it was promised. However, I have since upgraded my OS to Yosemite and I cannot open the program to modify/delete an expired countdown. Nor can I remove the currently expired countdown icon from my desktop - which is now counting the days since the date of the event. I cannot even delete the app as it is “running” yet doesn’t show as running when I engage the force quit option. I hope the developer realeses a fix for what I believe is an incompabitiliy with the current OS. If this were resolved, my rating would bump up to four stars as the app did what it promised, but didn’t surpass my expecations which would have been a fiver.

I was looking for a simple counter that would remain on my desktop, counting down the days to an event. It does exactly that. You can customize the background and the text, and even send a reminder if needed. Simple and straightforward, and works flawlessly under Yosemite.

Plz make an option which can remove weekends from countdown.

The app works fine. A left two suggestions for the developer: - allow to add countdown timers by clicking on the menubar icon (instead of having to open the preferences) - iCloud sync (I use multiple computers and it would be awesome to have the countdown items synced across them)

Great customer service. Had a question about the app and received an immediate response and help in setting it up. If you’re looking for something to give you a clear reminder of upcoming events, this does the job nicely.

Although locating this apps file on my 15" Macbook Pro was a booger (eventually located in the downloads folder with no help from Spotlight), it is exactly what it is advertised to be - very cute and very functional!

I bought this yesterday. It works as advertised, does what I wanted, and is super simple to use! I had one question, emailed the developer, Hong Wee, and got a very prompt, helpful response. If you want a countdown timer for days, this is the app for you!

DOES NOT WORK. PERIOD.

A really well done, polished and simple app. The only thing it’s missing is an option to just see the countdown in days rather than days/years— would be a really helpful feature!

This is the best APP I have used! So many out there, but this one is a true favorite! Easy to set up and use, clean, and..…..WORKS! 5 stars from me!!
